Crafted by media design experts using artistic silhouette, shadow and light - meet the Winter Queen and her animal companions as they travel to cities, woods and ice palaces. A one of a kind, bespoke installation found only in York this winter.

Shimmering winter notes tinkle like ice crystals whilst the sounds of snowy gusts dance across the space. Our storyteller’s gentle voice will lead you deeper into the tale as the soundscape unfurls into an enchanting orchestral piece. Not to be missed, the evocative sound turns this York hideaway into a moments of winter heart, spectacle and joy.
A Tale Of Wintery Light
For longer than time remembers, the Winter Queen has watched over the long nights. Her gentle cloak of ice light, dark skies and rest, comforts the earth beneath it, preparing us for spring.
This year, while she sleeps in her hidden realm of shadow and frost, something has changed .
The winter balance has broken.
With a sound older than words she awakens her winter creature companions, sending them out on a quest to mend the season.
